This boxed set of Edwardian period buttons is quite rare. Dating from the first decade of the 20th century - 1909, they are lavender colored enamel work on guilloche sterling silver. The borders are a soft lavender and the centers are white with a bubble-like pattern underneath the enamelwork.
They are octagonal in shape and measure 3/4" in diameter. The buckle measures 2 3/8" x 1 7/8". The buckle bears the English hallmarks.
The button on the upper left has a miniscule chip in the enamel (shows as a brown spot) and the upper right button has some of the lavender color missing and shows up as white. The box is also in very good condition with a firm snapping clasp. Please see another boxed set of buttons that is listed separately.
