Vintage 1950's Foley Grease Strainer with Yellow Wooden Handle

I love this grease strainer by Foley Manufacturing Co. Foley had suspended production of kitchen items for domestic use during WWII while they produced vital goods in support of the war effort. This unique kitchen tool was among those produced after the war, as Foley turned its attention back to kitchenware. The strainer is in very good condition showing light indications of use. The wooden handle is firmly attached and shows very little wear. It is marked "Foley MPLS. Minn. Pat. No. 2507159 ". The patent was issued in 1950. This strainer is pictured in "Spiffy Kitchen Collectibles" by Brian S. Alexander. A perfect addition to your retro kitchen!
