Faustite - Genuine lime green and black, this mineral is closely related to Turquoise and sometimes referred to as such - but it is not actual Turquoise. Named after George Faust of the United States Geological Survey, lots of testing and confusion surrounded the initial finding of this beautiful mineral, ultimately it was determined that unlike Turquoise it bears a high concentration of zinc. These specimens come from Nevada and are the real thing! They are extraordinary in color and perfect for the collector. Not to be confused with dyed green Howlite which is sold abundantly online as lime turquoise or faustite!!! Barrels are an avg 1/2 x 5/8 inch.
Chrome Diopside - Oodles of this fabulous gemstone have been added to make the Faustite pop and give the whole piece a gemmy brilliance! Smoothly polished nuggets are 5-10mm.
Onyx - Black ruffled round slices are a large 1 inch and add lots of textural nuance, a large cabochon set hook clasp blends beautifully in the design and can be worn in the front or at the back of the neck - stone is 10mm, the entire clasp is 1 1/4 inches.
Siberian Jet - Smooth matte wheels - 10mm
Beryl - One lone micro faceted pale green (aquamarine) was added for an unexpected eclectic touch :)
All Sterling Silver elements include tons of beads, caps and wheels.
Total length is 42 1/2 inches, this can be worn as one long body necklace or doubled as seen in the photo. As stated the clasp can be worn in the front or back. You can also wrap this around your wrist 5 times for a multi strand bracelet!
