This is an exceptional pair of end of 19th century Victorian Children's high button boots in very good condition with their original tassels. The color is pale baby blue and we consider this item rare in this state of conservation. The leather is still supple and although they show signs of being worn, it must have been for 'special only... maybe Sunday's best! The craftsmanship is beautiful, inside and out. There's a bit of white kid lining on the top , extending a little less than an inch down from the scalloped age. Below this they are lined in a white twill linen or cotton. The size is 3C and possibly a stock number are written on the twill fabric in a lovely old penmanship, this reads; '1888'. The leather soles measure 5" long and 1 3/4" wide at their widest across the ball of the foot. Could be worn by antique dolls too.
You won't find a pair of this boots anymore, they are for sure a museum piece!
