Beautiful 1930's St. Joseph Round Wood Picture *Signed
This is another of our religious very old treasures, it dates back to the 1930's and was made and brought personally from Portugal. It is a 5" in circumference wood frame Roman Catholic bronze picture of St. Joseph with Baby Jesus. It is a lovely piece!
It stands on 2 small round wood feet.
The bronze Medallion was skilfully hand made with a lot of detail, it is secured with two metal nails to the solid wood frame. The Medallion is also signed with the word; 'Garry' It must be the artist who executed the medallion. Around the wood frame there are bronze garlands with a gorgeous deep pink/gold patina, with plenty of detail of flowers and leaves. There are 2 garlands with approximately 20% of the garlands missing, due to age and cleaning. The whole thing is just beautiful!
On the back it stands with a support made of the same wood and nailed to the back. There is a number of 450 on two sections of the wood there. We do not know what they stand for as nothing is mentioned on our family estate inventory.
The condition is great!
