Enormous Vintage Colorado Souvenir Scarf Red Silk Cowboys Indians Horses
Across the top it reads:
"Colorful Colorado The Centennial State"
encircled a brown rope lasso, with an American Indian to the left, wearing feathers and breech-cloth, and carrying his bow and arrow.
Below that is the obligatory map; this one is outlined in wooden fence posts.
The art around the edges is our favorite, and there's a ton of it on this ~ with a bucking bronco in the lower right hand corner, then, along the right side is a trio of prospectors in the mountains, panning for gold. The upper right side corner has a gorgeous tooled saddle.
The upper left corner has a pair of floral cowboy boots, along the left side there is an American Indian in full regalia, dancing near a teepee.
The lower left corner features another American Indian on rearing horseback, and the center bottom is a ranch scene, with fence and cabins, and horses and mountains and cowboys.
The map has a ton of site seeing destinations (too many to list here), universities and cities, and it even has Buffalo Bill on it.
The art on this totally qualifies this as a western and/or rockabilly collectible, too.
This has a hand rolled hem.
Condition: Fabulous. when held up to the light, the lower left corner shows some very minor strain, and some tiny holes where maybe someone anchored this with a pin or brooch. When laid flat, we can see some light pink in the white oval at the top, perhaps where the red bled at one time. Please see detail photos.
We LOVE these professionally mounted, matted and framed for wall art ~ but they look amazing worn Grace Kelly style, wrapped around the head, and neck, ready for a convertible ride...
