Here's a terrific bias tartan plaid print steel lunchbox by ADCO Liberty stamped on the back side "Made in U.S.A." ADCO only manufactured from 1954 to 1956, so these were made in limited numbers, and are difficult to source in this colorway and design.
Measures about 9" x 6.5" x 4" deep. Has nice rounded corners and flippy handle that lays flat. The interior is white, and a bit worn (see photos, please), the exterior has a fabulous red, celtic green, dark purple and ivory plaid painted on the bias!
This also sports painted trim around the edges (top and bottom) that is made to look like stitched leather! The nicely finished rounded edges are painted white which contrasts so well with the deep colors of the plaid.
This has the little poufy-hat-guy logo seal just underneath the handle.
This has minor wear and scuffing; the colors are still bright and vibrant. These vintage lunch boxes not only make a fine way to carry lunch from home, but are even better as clever purses, or add a fabulous vintage look to your cozy cabin's book shelves or mantel. We love these plaids used as Christmas and holiday decor, stacked with other warm prints and textures.
