Amazingly Detailed Haviland Limoges 8 7/8" Pierced Plate Sky Blue Heavy Gold Leaf Pink Roses J. W. & W. Westwater

Here is an example of some of Haviland Limoges finest decorating work. This plate was made by Haviland for J. M. & W, Westwater a retail store in Columbus Ohio. the center of the plate is decorated with pink roses and heavy gold outlining of, a cart, a drum, organ pipes, flowers, and a few other forms I cannot make out, on a cream background Outside of the main circle are other forms in gold--a fence, quiver with arrows,, snare drum, and crossed wheat plumes, with the rim being pierced, scalloped, with gold wheat design, heavy gold scrollwork and fluting, all on a sky blue background. The plate is in good condition with the exception of light gold loss and a small "v" shaped nick at the rim. The plate date from 1888-1896 .We Are happy to accept lay-a-ways!
