Lovely Leather Bound Floral Daguerreotype Case With Seated Man 1850s

Here is a leather daguerreotype case with intricately carved scrolls and flowers, The inside of the case depicts a stern looking seated man. The other side of the case has a reddish velvet-like material with flowers and scrolls design. The case measures approx. 3 5/8" by 3 1/8", and is in good condition with the exception of general wear and fading to the inside and outside, some leather cracking to the side, the latch is intact but difficult to engage. This case dates to the 1850s and please forgive the camera glare. We are happy to accept lay-a-ways! We require a non-refundable deposit of 25% within 10 days, and the balance to be paid in full within 30-60 days.
