Stunning, authentic Char of Mexico, maxi skirt, in mint condition. Production dates: 1968 - 1970. Beautiful suede and finished leather cut, dyed, pieced and constructed all by hand. Waist is adjustable from small 23" to a medium 30". Belt and inside ties make this possible. Maxi length at 40".
Original by Charlotte Blankeship de Vasquez made before Char designs were moved to the U.S. All pieces with this label were one of a kind, individually hand made from the finest leather. There is not another skirt EXACTLY like this in the world. It is all hand made.
Long, ankle length skirt is wrap style with an A line silhouette. Skirt wraps, ties inside and has a strong brass buckle at one hip with an adjustable length belt.
The unlined skirt is made from a golden amber suede. The bold flower and foliage design is in white, gray, beige and cocoa brown.
Mint, clean, supple, gorgeous color and ready to wear!
A true collector of the hippie, BOHO, ethnic textile craft movement of the 1960s and 1970s would LOVE to own this.
