Magnificent late 40s cocktail jacket by Textron in quilted coral rayon satin and, lined in white. The essence of Hollywood Art Deco Regency. Size is large or XL with the bust measurement up to 42 inches. There is no closure. The coat is meant to be worn slightly open and not fit tightly.
This jacket is fabulous, from the coiled pipping with extremely long loops to the perfect construction and gorgeous color. The quilted fabric is coral and the lining is white. There are medium weight shoulder pads, a large pocket on the right front side, and the option to turn up the cuff or not. Split seams at the side seam hems add interest AND give a bit extra room if needed.
The coils are 3 inches across and the loops hang about 16 inches. There are darts at the bust but, essentially this is a straight fit.
Measurements in inches: Chest 42 ( meant to be worn slightly open), waist 46, hip 52 ( side slits give extra room ) sleeve from shoulder to cuff (not turned up)24 - 1/2 inches, length from center back to hem 32 and across upper back 17.
