Dating from the mid 20s to mid 30s, these vintage eyeglasses feature round lens, one piece lens component with curved self molded nose rest and curved arms. Very; Dr No / Downton Abbey / Steam punk styling.
They are 4 - 1/2 inch across the front. The fronts are 1 - 5/8 inch high. Arms are 4 -5/8 inches from front to where the curve begins. The curve (fitting over the ear) is another inch. Best for a small to medium face.
The arms are comparable to a small - medium adult size. The front is about 1/2 inch more narrow than my modern glasses.
The wire frame fronts and nose piece are gold plated metal with a tortoise colored celluloid plastic coating. The arms are solid plastic.
Gold metal hinges have arms that extend INTO the celluloid arms for added strength.
Fronts are strong with no warping. Arms are both slightly askew. A professional optometrist would need to straighten them.
Metal is all good and hinges work well. Arms show scratches.
The round glass lens have a light prescription in them. I would imagine you would remove the lenses and either have sun glasses inserted or your own prescription.
A profession optometrist would need to do that.
They look very cool with no lens.
