From the 1940s these men's suspenders are 34 inches long as set, 1 - 3/8 inches wide. Brass findings allow them to be adjusted shorter or longer.
The body of the suspenders are Copenhagen blue (fabric like heavy grosgrain ribbon) Hand painted figure of a Mexican sitting under cactus, playing a guitar is on the front.
Rayon thread covered stretch cord, that retains a great elasticity. The button holders and attachments are leather.
Brass adjusters are marked: Hickock U.S.A.
Very clean, beautiful condition noting a bit of rust under the teeth of the adjuster on one side. Above excellent condition. Very unusual to find with hand painting.
