Vintage tie from the Prohibition era of US History before WW II. This vintage necktie dates from the late 20s to mid 30s. Very fun tie in great condition.
The fabric is WOVEN with a burgundy design into the blue field. This is not a printed motif. All edges are top stitched. This is the best tip off to it's age as well as it's length.
Ties from this era were quite short as men almost always wore a high button vest that covered the bottom part of the tie.
The tag reads The Mode, Boise Idaho. Measurements in inches: 46 inches long x 4 inches at the widest part. The tie is lined a loose woven cotton.
Residue from original store tag on inside of the back of the tie. There are no holes, snags or soiling. There is very minor fading on the inside and along the very edge bottom. This will not shown when worn as intended.
This is a great tie. Perfect for a scene in Boardwalk Empire or The Great Gatsby!
