Offering a very rare label by N. Y. designer Valerie Porr whose designs have been featured at the Museum at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Sheer black rayon is printed with a wild display of flowers in Bohemian themed colors: red, yellow, turquoise, green and white. Blouse is unlined. Skirt is lined in black opaque synthetic fabric. Both pieces are entirely cut on the bias. This is the MOST movement I have seen in an ensemble from this era. Utterly amazing work.
This set is in unworn, mint condition. Brilliant!
Blouse features: Cross front, cropped, wrap design. Long ties thread through openings to tie at the side or back. Resulting neckline is a deep "V". Three quarter sleeves flutter freely. Fit is adjustable somewhat with the tie design.
Measurements in inches: Bust up to 36 or 37, waist adjustable from 26 - 34 and length from center back to hem 18.
Skirt features: Bias cut gore inserts give a very smooth fit and HUGE hemline, sweeping at an astounding 360 degrees. The lining has the same construction. There is a black grosgrain waist line facing and hidden back zipper.
Skirt fits slightly below the natural waistline.
Measurements in inches. waist 28, hip up to 40, length 29-1/2.
