A 1940s vintage sewing pattern for a simple, easy to make dress and purse is uncut, with measurements in inches: Bust 36, waist 28, hip 38.
Cap sleeves are cut as one with the bodice of the dress making this a great pattern for a beginning seamstress; no set in sleeves! Sleeves may be scalloped.
The dress with choice of a high or low neckline closes with full button closure down the front. (great opportunity to use vintage buttons)!
The belt holds an outside soft pocket / purse. Leather was at a premium during World War II. It all went to the war effort. This feature still gave women a choice for a purse.
The skirt is slightly flared and is cut in 6 gores.
This is an unused, unprinted pattern by the NEW YORK PATTERN COMPANY. It includes all instructions needed for making the garments shown on the envelope.
