Original early 1960s Quick and Easy, Butterick 9578 vintage sewing pattern for a fun wardrobe of aprons. Mad Men era of fun fashion; measurements : Bust 31 -32, waist 24 - 25 and hip 33 -34.
Printed pattern for a VARIETY of styles with sharp lines, fitted waist and classic look of the era. The cobbler design features a square neck line, button back so the straps do not slip and a tie at the waist.
The half apron has a flared skirt, with waist band and ties. EITHER style may be trimmed in a variety of ways: a straight hem with contrasting diamond or triangle accents and pockets.
Either can have a ZIG ZAG hem achieved with the diamond motif trims. Use rick rack, baby pom pom, ribbon, bias tape or lace to add interest. See the pattern envelope for so many fun ideas!
Complete, partly cut, Included are all instructions, fabric requirements, lay out, cutting and sewing to complete the vintage clothing shown in the pictures. You can make DOZENS of aprons by switching out hem lines, using matching or coordinated fabrics with different prints. Have some fun!
