1930s vintage sewing pattern for Bust 36, waist 30, hip 39. Simplicity 2294. What a fabulous wedding dress this would make up!
This is a VERY HARD to find pattern in this size. From the Katherine Hepburn era of Hollywood Glamour.
Straight from Hollywood inspired elegance of the 30s! The one piece dress can be made in a wonderful variety for several completely different dresses a/o evening gowns or even the MOST perfect wedding dress.
The one piece dress is evening gown length with a variety of sleeve and neck treatments.
One view has fullness at the neckline and short puffed sleeves. The skirt is accented at the waist with a ruffled peplum with a front bow.
The second version has a square neckline that is accented with wide, gathered ruffles. The soft belt / sash ties at the back with a long floppy bow. The skirt of this dress can be cut straight or accented with a deep self fabric ruffle.
This is an original, never a copy, at Toinette's. This is a Simplicity unprinted pattern circa 1938.
Perfect for dancing, dining and red carpet events. YOUR WEDDING DRESS and what a smashing design for the opera! Absolutely no one will have a gown like yours. This is too feminine for words.
It is a particularly lovely example of 1930s fancy dress gowns. I would put it on the rare side of a pattern collection. These evening gown patterns from the Depression Era do not come along very often.
Complete with the instruction page for fabric selection, lay out, cutting, sewing and finishing. Tissue pieces in very good condition. The envelope shows significant wear.
