1940s Sewing Pattern Women's SUIT Size Large Bust 36

This vintage sewing pattern is for a late 1940s suit. Bust 36, waist 30, hip 39.

UNCUT Post World War II, Suit pattern, MINT in original envelope with the instruction chart, Circa 1947.

This suit was designed after the war when fabric was no longer rationed and all the extra embellishments were once again available to the home seamstress.

The jacket is fitted at the waist, with a sweet "flip" of a peplum. You have a choice of long fitted sleeves or 3/4 parachute / blouson sleeves gathered to a cuff. It has a five button closure and trim at the waist line.

The skirt is cut in four sweeping gores. The hemline has the classic post war length and hits at the mid calf.
