Dating from the 1960s this two part, chatelaine brooch is in mint condition. All metal is strong, silver tone and very shiny. It has a drop of 3-1/2 inches.
Constructed with each side having it's own pin back mechanism, it can be arranged to drape in varying heights and widths.
There is a flat, woven mesh chain connecting the two pieces.
When worn the brooch spans about 5 inches across from one attachment to the other.
The long bar is 2 inches across. The "drop" or length of the longest fob style dangle is 3 & 1/2 inches. The other fob is a crown with a fleur-de-lis and keys that are back to back.
The other side, with the oval and bar, is 1 & 1/2 inches X 1 inch. It also has a strong clasp with a rotating knuckle closure.
This would be an excellent accessory to wear above the pocket of a pair of jeans or on a black satin purse! You will find this versatile design is a fun and inspiring addition to your collection.
