Red Heart with Arrow Rhinestone Brooch 1940s Sterling & Vermeil, a huge pin with rare design. In 35 years, I have never seen another. It dates from the 1940s. SUPERB brooch for an advanced collector. It measures 3 - 1/4 inches from tip of arrow to the end of the "feathers". It is 1 - 7/8 inches at the widest point.
All set in sterling silver, .925, with a gold wash. Hollywood glamour at its height. It measures 3 - 1/4 inches from the tip of arrow to the end of the "feathers". It is 1 - 7/8 inches at the widest point.
Over the top gift for an engagement party or wedding gift. The Vermeil finish is gold. A VERY large, heart shaped, faceted rhinestone is the fabulous centerpiece. It is pierced with an arrow and accented with emerald cut ruby red and crystal stones.
This red stones flash magenta, garnet, and true red. It is spectacular! It is FIRMLY held in the setting with an embedded "pin" that shows in the back, but not the front.
All stones are prong set, with open backs. I find no damaged stones. There is wear to the gold wash at the top most prongs on the heart. Minor wear to some high points of the metal, MAGNIFICENT presentation.
This is a show stopper! Other than STERLING, there is no signature. Could this be an unsigned Eisenberg or early Trifari figural? Whoever made it, did an amazing work of art.
