1920s Cotton Percale Quilt Fabric 2 + yards Bohemian Estate Collection

This is, 100% cotton percale fabric, from an estate of a life long quilter and textile collector. In 35 years I have never seen such a wide range of material and textiles. It has been wonderful going through this woman's collection.

Bohemian prints from this era are highly sought after. These traditional designs from Europe flourished for a time with the influx of immigrants from Germany, Poland and Czechoslovakia.

Often called "gypsy prints" these pieces are jewels in the crown of a fabric collector.

This cotton sewing yardage has a print and color display that will make any quilter, clothing designer or textile collector green with envy! It is the very definition of true cotton percale with a tight weave, smooth finish. It has medium weight, is firm and smooth with no gloss. It washes very well.

The field is true white it is printed with a MARVELOUS print of the Bohemian designs so popular in the early 20's. There are CRAZY beautiful, paisley designs, and a wonderful, "evil eye". Fan shaped medallions and brilliant flowers spill across this fabric. It is marvelous.

The white field is printed in era specific color: Cornflower blue, crimson red, Paris green (CLASSIC 1920's green), maize yellow and true black.

If you EVER wanted to have historically correct colors in your 1920's bungalow, quilt or clothing, THIS fabric would make your color scheme PERFECT.

This MINT, perfect cotton yardage is 36" wide from selvage to selvage. It is 2 & 7/8 yards long. That is almost 3 yards of one of the most amazing cotton fabrics you will ever own. There is a 7" pattern repeat.

There is a coin in the pictures for size perspective. Color will need to be "set" before using. It's easy and I will include instructions with your order.

Please, see my other listings for more fabrics and textiles from this collection; cotton, rayon and blends that date from 1900 to 1990. This woman really believed in the mantra "she who dies with the most fabric wins." She was the winner.
