'POST OFFICE, Broadview, Sask.' - REAL PHOTO Postcard - Saskatchewan, Canada c.1920s

This vintage Real Photo post card (RPPC) features the brick, single-storey post office in Broadview, Saskatchewan, Canada. The public building is surrounded by a white picket fence and the flag pole flies the Union Jack.

This black & white photograph depicts a streetscape in a "time capsule"-like fashion. There are a number of houses, a business in the distance, and a Twenties car parked at the corner.

Broadview is a small, prairie town located on the Trans-Canada Highway, 100 miles east of Regina. It was established as a railroad town and was the end of the rail for the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1880s. Broadview still serves as a divisional point for the CPR.

This postally-unused, undivided-back post card has no printer's or publisher's marks. This real photo postcard is in excellent condition with little of the attendant signs of age and wear. This piece of circa 1920s-era ephemera is eminently suitable for framing or for collection in an album.
