1940 Ads - Coca-Cola COKE - feat. Soda Jerk / PENNSYLVANIA Tourism (on reverse)

These are genuine original magazine advertisements from a 1940 issue of National Geographic.

The dated, 1940s Coca-Cola ad features an illustration of a smiling, uniformed soda jerk serving a "tinkling glass of ice-cold Coca-Cola" from the old-fashioned yet familiar, red counter dispenser. The ad is titled, "Thirst stops here" and the copy states that, "When you feel thirst coming on, come on to the soda fountain".

Or if one prefers, the reverse depicts a collection of tourist spots in the State of Pennsylvania. This travel & tourism ad also has a mail-in offer for a free pictorial map, folder and hospitality passport to "See America's First...The Nation's Birth-State".

The vintage ad measures 10" x 6 3/4" (approx.). This back cover advertisement is printed on glossy card stock with a modicum of the attendant signs of age and wear (i.e. minor creasing and soiling). This Forties-era print ad is in fair-good condition and is eminently suitable for framing.
