1952 Ad - Woodbury Powder - feat. Elizabeth TAYLOR

This is a genuine original magazine advertisement from a 1952 issue of the Ladies' Home Journal.

This full-colour, half-page ad features a portrait of the late, great Hollywood legend, Elizabeth Taylor exhibiting a confident gaze.. The head-shot of the gorgeous Liz illustrates the tagline, "More beautiful women use Woodbury Face Powder - Why don't you?"

This 1/2-page ad highlights the legendary beauty, Miss Taylor's co-starring role in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie, "Ivanhoe". Pictured as well, are a box of Fiesta powder and a bottle of "new Woodbury liquid make-up" also from the Fiesta line of products (complete with original retail prices).

This Fifties-era vintage advert measures 5 1/4" x 13 3/4" (approx.). The image has been accommodated completely by a large-format scanner. This 1950s print ad is in excellent condition and is eminently suitable for framing. This piece of movie memorabilia / entertainment ephemera would make a great gift for a fan of Hollywood "royalty" or history.
