1960 Ad - Coca-Cola COKE - 'Ice Floe'
This dated, full-colour Coke ad features a picture of an ice floe adrift in open, blue water with three frosty containers of Coca-Cola. An iconic contour glass bottle, the familiar Coke glass, and a red & white "Have a Coke" paper cup are on the slab of sea ice.
Accompanying the polar-themed photo is the following advisory: "Coke means only Coca-Cola ... And Coca-Cola only means Coke ... Each is a registered trade-mark which identifies only the product of the Coca-Cola Company". Wow! Real catchy ad copy, eh? Who was having trouble with competitors and imitators, I wonder.
This LARGE 1960s advert measures 10 3/8" x 13 5/8"(approx.). The image of this piece of advertising memorabilia / ephemera has been accommodated completely by a large-format scanner. This Sixties print ad is in good condition with a modicum of age and wear consistent with a back cover ad but is eminently suitable for framing.
