Embossed Vintage VALENTINE - 'Feb 14 Boy in Heart'

This attractive, embossed valentine card features the following in a gilt script: "FEB 14".

This sweet, old die-cut card features a full-colour illustration of a young, fair-haired boy in a red & white striped shirt with a big blue cravat. He's clutching a straw hat while standing in front of a climbing flowers-covered wooden fence.

This scallop-edged, heart-shaped valentine opens to a picture of our rustic romantic with a wagon full of potted plants. It has the following sentiment: "This Heart I've saved for little You Don't say you didn't want me to.". There is an inscription in ink on the reverse: "Dorothy Luff from Dorothy Wilson".

This antique, colour litho "Made In U.S.A." card measures 3 3/4" x 3 1/4" (approx.) when closed. It is of glossy, light card stock with strong, vibrant colours. It is in very good condition with a modicum of the attendant signs of age and wear. This charming piece of early 1900s-era ephemera / St Valentine's Day-related memorabilia is eminently suitable for collecting/displaying.
