A beautiful copper and ceramic serving tray or platter from the Arts and Crafts era, 12 inches diameter by 15-1/2 inches wide across the handles. The center is a glossy antique china plate decorated with a hand painted circular floral design in mauve pink, purple, green and yellow in the Art Nouveau style. Surrounding and permanently attached to the rim of the plate is a 1-1/4" copper frame with brass tab handles. The frame has a pierced flower decoration all the way around.
The plate has no chips, cracks, or crazing but there are a couple of discolored yellow age spots near the edges (about the 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions in the first photo). The plate has a couple of impressed markings that cannot be read. My apologies for the poor late afternoon yellowish lighting in my photos - the tray is prettier in person.
