3 Antique Victorian Glass Fruit Christmas Ornaments
These three antique glass organic Christmas ornaments are from the late Victorian era, late 1800s to shortly after the turn of the last century. The shaded white, pink, and green grape cluster is unsilvered, painted and coated in iridescent clear glitter. About 3 inches high, there's one area of missing paint at the side.
The smaller grape cluster is mercury glass, silvered with green transparent tinting at the top, pink at the bottom, and a little faded yellow in the center. This ornament is about 2-3/4" high and has a chipped pike under the metal cap.
The large, fat berry mercury glass ornament is 3-3/4" inches high. It's colored similarly to the smaller grapes and has a very well defined molded double leaf cap at the top. The silvering is good on both mercury ornaments, just some faint whitish clouding at the bottom of the big berry. The two smaller ornaments have non-original metal caps, added by me as they came without hangers.
