A boxed set of one dozen unsilvered glass Christmas ornaments from the 1940s World War II years. They're on the small side but not miniature, about 1-5/8 to 2 inches diameter. One is a Shiny Brite Deco stepped ring lantern, one is a Premier striped bell, and the rest are round. One has a sprig of tinsel inside, five have painted stripes or rings, and two are decorated with unusual white painted flowers and leaves on two sides.
The ornaments are in good condition with minor flaking to the painted stripes as shown but no serious finish wear. The Marks Brothers ornament box is intact. Interestingly, there's a price sticker on the side from the Joseph Horne department store.in Pittsburgh reading "Ceiling Price 3-10¢" confirming that the box is genuine war era as well as the ornaments.
