Postcard with Metropolitan Life Insurance Building on Madison Square, NY

This postcard is a picture of the Met Life Home Office in New York on Madison Square. The caption states that it is the largest office building in the world, and the tower, at 700 feet, is the tallest permanent structure in the world. The tower of Madison Square Garden is on the left.

The card is not dated, but would have to be before 1913, when the Woolworth Building became the tallest. The building is a National Historic Landmark, and is currently being converted into the New York Edition Hotel.

The card is in good condition with some bumping at the corners, a couple of black spots near the bottom, and age-browning on the back. It was postmarked from Roseland, NJ, but the postmark does not include the year.

This card will be packaged in a rigid plastic sleeve and bubble envelope.
