This postcard is an illustration by well-known artist Lance Thackeray, signed at the lower right. The illustration shows two gentlemen sitting and kneeling on the side of the road in front of their two cars which have apparently crashed together. The caption is "Toujours La Politesse", which is translated from the French as "Always Polite".
It is an Oilette postcard, published by Raphael Tuck and Sons in England,and postmarked from Auburn, Maine in 1905.
Condition is good, except for slight bumping at the corners, and a brown stain in the center at the bottom.
This card will be protectively packaged in a rigid plastic sleeve.
