"The Preacher and the Bear", Comical Song 1938

This song is titled "The Preacher and the Bear". The cover has an illustration printed in orange of a man trapped in a tree with a bear lurking below. The lyrics tell the story, ending with the phrase: "Now Lord if you can't help me, for goodness sake don't you help that bear". Inset is a photo of Doc Hopkins.

This funny song was written by Joe Arzonia, and copyrighted in 1938 by Calumet Music Company in Chicago.

This sheet music measures 9-1/4 by 12 inches. It is in very good condition with very minor wear on the edges.
