This interesting piece of ephemera is a printed list of books published by a firm located in Covent Garden in London. This is a capsule view of the state of natural scientific knowledge in the mid-1800s.
The booklet is titled: "Mr. Reeve's List of Publications", and is dated January 6, 1856. The books listed are all scientific publications, with subjects such as biology, botany, zoology, entomology and mineralogy. There are 24 pages with descriptions of two to three books on each page.
The leaflet measures 5 by 6-1/4 inches, and is stitched at the fold. It is in very good condition, with slight wear at the edges.
