"Golden Annual for Girls", 1922, Illustrated Schoolgirl Stories

The "Golden Annual for Girls" is a compilation of stories that would appeal to a teen-age girl in the 1920s. Authors include Katherine Greenhalgh, Ellen Draycot, Ruth Maxwell and Iris Holt.

This book was published by the Amalgamated Press in London, dated 1922 on the back page index. There is a gift inscription on the front endpaper dated 1924. It's filled with wonderful black-and-white pictures and three lovely full-color full-page plates. The book has pictorial boards with a red-brown cloth spine.

Condition is good overall. There is shelf wear at the top and bottom of the spine, the cover boards are worn around the edges and rubbed. The binding is split near the back, but there are no cracks at the endpapers. The pages are printed on quality paper and are in good condition with no tears or creases. The book contains 168 numbered pages, and measures approximately 6-1/2 by 9-1/4 inches.
