Antique Victorian Turned Carved MOP Tambor or Crochet Hook, Self Etui

Hard to find antique Victorian era carved mother of pearl tambor, but this one is without its crochet hooks, a working system otherwise and beautiful throughout. All you need do is share your little hooks from another one in your collection. We have another one listed which has 6 hooks with it, so buy that one and this one and share (sold separately).

Very good to excellent, though a little dirty, sorry. This one is beautifully preserved and suffers no chips or cracks or losses, though it needs a cleaning. Slight surface dinge on the old mother of pearl (sorry, that stuff really shows on the super-enlarged photos, even though it looked clean to the natural eye). It's smoothly fitted so that both ends unscrew easily and smoothly remount - amazing how those old artisans could make the threading match perfectly without modern precision tools. Lathe turned body is really beautiful on this one!
