I see a pair of fabulous hand painted works of porcelain art like these and I just can't pass them by. I instantly begin redecorating a room around them, and can see these on a wall with a beautiful French bracket shelf beneath each, and both flanking a Master (Mistress) bedroom fireplace - can't you see it? But alas, I haven't got a pink Ms bedroom and so will have to offer these up to some other 'closet' designer like myself who has that perfect spot for them. Left to me, they'll top a pair of fabulous French or English plates for an intimate and beautiful dinner a' deux, and that just seems beneath them. The pair have impressed date marks for 1870, making them nearly 140 years old. Their only flaw is that there are only 2 of them. If only I had 24, I'd have more reason to redecorate, right? Alas, I'm guessing they'll win your heart as they did mine. Just look!
Very good to excellent. I see nothing to diminish either their value or your enjoyment in owning these. Elegant! You are buying the pair, not just one. They should remain together!
