Antique Minton 9" Cabinet Plate, Gold with Hand Painted Fish, Flowers & Cattails!
Fabulous antique Minton porcelain 9" cabinet or decorative plate with wide gold border, hand painted fish figures, flowers and cattails! A wonderful decorative piece, the thick gold band around the border has some scuffs but that really is the extent of the wear to this beautiful old piece. The four fish and all of the foliage & flowers are hand painted in rich, vibrant colors and fine detail. The back is marked with the normal Minton mark, a banner below for Davis Collamore & Company (famous New York retailer). The impressed date mark places its manufacture to 1880. Only one, but what a great one!
Very good condition. As noted, the gold bordering has some scuffs and light scratches but there are no rim chips, no cracks and no repairs. See pictures for measurements.
