Gorgeous Antique Continental .800 Sterling Silver & Cut Glass 11" Compote or Centerpiece

Fabulous antique Continental hallmarked .800, or nearly sterling, silver 10 5/8" compote or centerpiece with ornate Classical style silver base and shimmering wheel cut crystal or glass 8 1/4" dish! Superb! I did remove the upper cut glass or crystal dish to clean the silver, it comes off easily with the center silvered fitting threaded so it unscrews. The tip end and base are both marked "800", the norm for continental silver and means that it's 80% pure (just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). I wasn't able to find any silversmith marks. Highly ornate, a truly beautiful piece and guaranteed to attract compliments. Don't miss it!

Very good condition. The silver base is weighted in the stem and there are a few dimples visible on the exterior but no large dents, damage or repairs. A possible tiny nip or two but no chips, cracks or other damage to the cut glass or crystal dish. See pictures for all measurements.
