Fabulous antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era genuine horn & silver handled knife set, a rare comprehensive collection of twenty-four including twelve larger dinner sized 9 3/4" pieces and twelve in the 8 1/8" entremet or dessert size! All with genuine carved horn and sterling to .800 silver handles in that marvelous Empire style with classical torch & quiver, laurel accenting and original steel blades! Very good condition. The sets match perfectly, identical silver caps and collars in that wonderful Empire style. Each size comes in its own storage/presentation box and each has different markings on the blades. All are in fine shape with just a bit of tarnish or corrosion on the blades. The horn on the larger pieces has less luster than the smaller ones, more use and a bit more wear. See pictures for measurements.
