Fabulous Victorian era (Napoleon II, c. 1850-70) French made & carved ornamental hair comb. Actually what is called a pick, I believe, on this style. Made of fine antique tortoise shell pique work in 10k yellow gold (tested). Beautifully carved in openwork fashion, and featuring a pique horse shoe (horseshoe) for good luck. Over 150 years old and still in perfect original curve and ready for your use. Oh how these old hair ornaments make me wish I had long thick gorgeous hair to sweep up in a chignon and anchor with this! Alas, I buy them for you all who do.

Very good to excellent condition, no chips or cracks, and not even any damage from bug bites. Perhaps a pique pin or two missing, so look very closely. We tested the gold since it's so high in brilliance and has no tarnish, and it does test 10k. The original steamed curve still perfectly set, as original form.
