A fabulous set of 8 plates, each hand painted by the artists employed by HAVILAND, of Limoges, France, and each ready to add to your collection. I have sold several similar sets which designers are using as decorator's accents in coastal homes in Florida. A great idea! Imagine these flanking your shell-mounted large framed mirror, or even in your china hutch along with your shell collection. From shabby chic to high dining and back again. Great palette of colors - they beg to be shown off, don't they. Florida? California? Hawaii? Or beyond. A wonderful set! This Haviland France mark was used from 1894 to 1932.

Very good condition, without damage or scrapes from utensils, and I see no chips or cracks, no hairlines. The set consists of 8 plates, approximately 9.25" in diameter. You might want to set the table with these on top of your place plates or chargers, just for the beautiful first impression, but please don't let your guests eat off this fine antique set. It would break my heart to see them damaged. You can lift them and replace with a lesser plate to serve your fish course. Deal? Thanks.
