Antique Victorian Turned Carved Tambor or Crochet Hook, 6 Hooks, Self Etui
Hard to find antique Victorian era tambor with a selection of 6 sizes of crochet hooks, a working system and complete throughout. This one is beautifully preserved and suffers no chips or cracks or losses, though it's evident a little old rust has been allowed to form, likely from someone not drying it well after a cleaning. Slight surface dinge on the old natural material, which didn't want to come off with just a little soapy cloth, and we haven't tried anything harsher on it. It's smoothly fitted so that both ends unscrew easily and smoothly remount - amazing how those old artisans could make the threading match perfectly without modern precision tools. Lathe turned body is really beautiful on this one!
