Antique French Sterling Silver 11" Salad Implement Pair
Elegant antique French hallmarked sterling silver 11" salad serving implement set, two matching pieces with Classical or Empire style patterned handles and original carved horn bowl & tines! Always the best of the best, French silver has always been synonymous with quality, elegance, panache and these are a great example as to why. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark on both handles, the tiny number "1" mark designates them as .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). Silversmith marks for Antoine Cosson-Corby, Paris c. 1851-1879. A truly elegant pair here, large size and both pieces in wonderful condition with age considered. Great serving pieces for your existing fine sterling silver service OR, better yet, shop with us for a bit and we're sure to set you up with a truly magnificent table setting! We currently have one of the most comprehensive offerings of antique French silver available online so, shop and enjoy!
FABULOUS antique French sterling silver is getting harder to find. Don't wait too long!
Very good condition. Both pieces just as you see them, with no damage or repairs to note. Some very subtle dimpling to the silver handles but, as you can see, there are no large dents or flaws to note. See pictures for measurements.
