Very unique antique Victorian era 9 3/4" doll sized miniature sedan or hand carriage, a fabulous cigar box or caddy with ornate scroll cut ornamentation and marvelous decorative appeal! Okay, so the doll collectors out there will likely not be looking for a cigar box but the interior fittings could surely be adjusted or replaced if you so wished. Of course, it would make a fabulous little candy cane holder over the Holidays, don't you think? Very unique! We've had these great old sedan vitrines in the past, most often Vernis Martin in style with the function of a jewelry and/or pocket watch display. This one very interesting as a cigar holder, the ornate scroll cut decoration is truly remarkable and the piece is, as you can see, in fantastic condition! Two doors, each side opens fully and has its own mounted window. Another window in the front of the carriage with folding handles and the rear entirely in scroll cut splendor. Tobacciana or doll enthusiasts, don't miss this one! French made!

Very good condition. There is a split or two in the reticulated wood panels but no loss to the scroll cut fretwork. The glass and fittings all appear original, as do the door knobs or clasps and folding carriage handles. The interior is fitted to hold sixteen cigars. See pictures for measurements.
