Victorian Mourning Brooch, Bullseye Agate Cabochon, Enamel

Big, bold, and perfect to wear with your stunning black/white evening attire, or dress it down against your white Tahari shirt as a top button at the neckline - wow, this one just kicks! It's not gold, so very afforable, and no one will know that the famous Victorian gold mimic, pinchbeck, is what you're wearing. A wonderful big bullseye agate cabochon set into the center of this target brooch makes it draw every eye, believe me - quite unique. Yes, that is a natural stone you see - not enameled, but stone. Isn't it absolutely FABU!

Very good condition, I see one spot where, upon close inspection or very enlarged photos, you can see a rough spot in the enamel. . . there, you see it? It's directly above the cabochon agate. Still, even with that, it's a stunning piece and you'll never notice it in wearing. A fun piece with a long long history. Circa 1850-80.
