Just brought this one back from Paris, too. Interesting and very unique to say the least! Here's a wonderful & rare French WWI medal display with bars for two decorations, a center picture frame, dore bronze bow & ribbon/banner engraved "1914-1918 Souvenir Des Cheminots Lexoviens" and set in a brass inlaid mahogany frame! Okay, not being military or war memorabilia buffs, we really have no idea as to the value of this piece....we only know that it's in fine shape and surely a very unique treasure!
Good condition! The silk mat is a bit soiled/discolored and we haven't tried cleaning it. There is a thick piece of glass in the frame though it looks to me like this one would not have had any originally. One repaired split in the lower left side of the frame and the easel back is pretty delicate (but entirely intact). See pictures for measurements.
