First Methodist Church Jackson Michigan - Homer Laughlin Theme Plate - Decorated by World Wide Art Studios

Own a piece of history with this striking First Methodist Church Plate from Homer Laughlin! This Homer Laughlin "Theme" First Methodist Church Plate was made by the Homer Laughlin Company sometime during 1955, and decorated by World Wide Art Studios of Tennessee. Eggshell Theme, a Homer Laughlin pattern in rich ivory, features an embossed rim of fruit and grape vines with thin band of gold trim on the edge. World Wide Art added the striking black and white transfer of the First Methodist Church, Jackson, Michigan. This stunning plate measures 10 inches in diameter. It is stamped in Green underglaze with the Homer Laughlin Wreath, and reads, "Eggshell Theme, Homer Laughlin, Made in U.S.A. J 55 N 8." This date and plant mark is somewhat obscured by a full description and history of the church up through 1956 which is also stamped on the back in black overglaze. "World Wide Art Studios," with palette, "A division of Atlas Crystal Works, Inc., Covington, Tennessee" completes the identification. It is in excellent condition with only very minor wear on the gold trim. More Church plates will be listed soon, so please check back often. Thank you for visiting MaggieBelle's!
