James Dixon & Sons 3 Piece Sheffield Silver Plate Serving Set

Nice early 1900's boxed 3 piece silverplate serving set. The set is by James Dixon & Sons founded in 1806 in Sheffield, England. The Company was one of the major British manufacturers in the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century. This set has a pattern no. of 70247 with hallmarks. The set features a delicate etched scroll and flower motif. The set includes; a serving spoon, fork and cake knife. The set is in very good condition with some age appropriate surface scratching from use. Leather and velvet case is in good shape. The pieces measure from 7 3/4" to 9" in length.
