Offering a beautiful set of ten cabinet size plates by EPIAG. The name EPIAG/OEPIAG was an association of porcelain factories. It was formed in 1918 by the Vienna (Austrian) government, and named OEPIAG. It is important to note that OEPIAG/EPIAG is not a factory. Each factory was maintained as an independent business, but joined together to promote Bohemian porcelain. Most of the member factories used a form of the association's name as a Mark.
The 10 3/4" diameter plates feature intricate gold filigree and scroll work trim with Dresden like flowers in the center. Bright maroon borders with scalloped rims trimmed in gold. The plates have a green EPIAG ROYAL MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA stamp on the bottoms. The plates are in very good condition with little if any wear to the gold and florals. No chips, cracks or crazing.
